Bhuria, Jha on the warpath
Newly-appointed Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Kantilal Bhuria and state BJP president Prabhat Jha are on warpath. Addressing mediapersons here on Saturday, Mr Bhuria described the state BJP government as “most corrupt” and said he would do everything in his command to uproot it.
State BJP president Prabhat Jha was prompt in lashing out at Mr Bhuria. Talking to this newspaper, he accused Mr Bhuria of making wrong disclosures before the Election Commission about his property and assets. He said Mr Bhuria has assets that are at least a hundred times more than what he had disclosed when he contested the last election. Mr Jha said that he has personally seen Mr Bhuria’s huge farmhouse, which is not reflected in his disclosures. Mr Jha demanded that Mr Bhuria’s undisclosed assets should be seized.
In his first press conference here after assuming office as state Congress unit president, when asked whether he would uphold the principle of “one man one post” and give up his berth as Union minister for tribal affairs, Mr Bhuria said: “I have been working, am still working and shall keep working.”
Mr Bhuria took potshots at the state BJP government and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and said that the present regime is neck-deep in corruption.
