Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar embarks on Seva Yatra
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday embarked on 'Seva Yatra' to tour throughout the state to study the steps taken for implementation of development schemes and Right to Service Act for making available public utility services free from corruption.
Talking to reporters before taking off for West Champaran district for the Yatra, Kumar said he would visit districts of West Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Sheikhpura, Arwal, Saharsa, Banka, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Purnia and Siwan under the first phase of the yatra beginning today.
"My priority will be to review all the development projects, welfare schemes, besides visiting offices, blocks, villages and holding Janata Darbar during my stay ranging from two to four days in districts", he said.
"I will engage in studying the development works and the steps taken for implementation of the Right to Service Act", Kumar said.
Several state ministers, including N K Yadav, Narendra Singh, Vijendra Prasad Yadav and Renu Kumari, were present at the state hangar on the occasion.
