Bihar: Lalu throws aloo price at Nitish, Centre
Raghopur, Bihar: RJD chief Lalu Prasad, who has ruled out any post-poll tie up with Congress, today slammed the party as well as Nitish Kumar government in Bihar for spiralling prices.
"Ever since Congress came to power at the Centre and Nitish Kumar in Bihar, the people are burdened by high prices," he told an election rally here.
Rabri Devi, Leader of the Opposition and his wife is contesting from Raghopur in Vaishali district, a constituency she represents in the outgoing assembly, where she is locked in a virtual neck-and-neck fight with JD(U)'s Satish Kumar.
"I had not allowed the price of potato to go up during the 15 years of RJD rule ... It (the price) remained pegged at Rs 2 per kg," he claimed adding people were now forced to buy the vegetable at more than Rs 25.
