BJD hints it may extend support too
A day after the DMK announced pulling out its ministers from the UPA Cabinet, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Sunday hinted that it could examine any proposal for supporting the Congress-led coalition if approached.
“No one has approached us so far. If any proposal (for support) comes, we will discuss amongst ourselves and consider,” senior BJD leader and Rajya Sabha member Pyari Mohan Mohapatra said.

Congress was in secret talks with AIADMK

March 6: The Congress started a secret channel of communication with AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa a few months ago when party leaders felt the DMK alliance was damaging it politically, sources said.
Ms Jayalalithaa offered last November to “more than make up” for the loss of DMK support should the Congress decide to dump Mr Karunanidhi over the 2G spectrum issue.
