BJP ‘Dastak’ campaign from Sept. is Modi’s idea
The BJP is all set to “knock” at every household from next month as part of its invasive “Dastak” campaign, an idea devised by Gujarat CM Narendra Modi, the party’s campaign committee head.
Mr Modi, who himself uses social media tools actively to reach supporters, wants party colleagues and workers to do likewise. He doesn’t want to miss the “personal touch” while campaigning, and is pushing for innovative campaign tools to be employed in 2014 alo-ng with the conventional methods, particularly to connect to young and first-time voters. Mr Modi himself is a hit in social cyberspace, with over 21 lakh social media followers.
