BJP to launch rally over price rise, corruption
The BJP on Monday claimed that it will soon launch an agitation across the country on the lines of pre-Emergency movement led by Jai Prakash Narain, highlighting government’s failure on corruption, price rise and black money fronts. BJP’s office bearers meeting to discuss its strategy to highlight these issue, is scheduled for February 15 in Kolkata. With eyes on the forthcoming Assembly polls in West Bengal, the party will also address a “massive rally” in Kolkata on Tuesday, highlighting Centre and state government’s failure. The office bearers meeting will also discuss party’s preparations for the forthcoming Assembly polls in five states.
“The issues of corruption, rising inflation and Indian black money abroad are dominant issues in Indian politics today. BJP senior leaders, office-bearers and chief ministers will attend a meeting at Kolkata tomorrow to discuss the strategy for taking these issues to the people,” BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.
