BJP plans ‘maha aartis’ Jan. 23
Invoking divine intervention ahead of the crucial Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP will organise “maha aarti” in Assembly constituencies in the state.
The saffron party will organise these “maha aartis” on the evening of January 23, also the culminating day of its three-day-long padyatra (foot march) in the poll-bound state by state unit leaders. The party known for its rath-yatras, will also launch five Susashan raths (good governance buses) as part of the election campaign in this poll-bound state. The party is also launching 11—day long “Satta parivartan” campaign in the state from January 20 for “dislodging” Mayawati government. As part of the “maha aarti”, which has the message “Sanvidhan bachao, mazhabi arakshan hatao” (save constitution, stop religion-based reservation), party leaders will garland portraits of Bharat Mata, Subhash Chandra Bose (whose birth anniversary falls on January 23) and Bhim Rao Ambedkar, after completion of the padyatra in their respective constituencies, in the BSP-ruled state.
