BJP pledges to stop infiltration
The BJP president Nitin Gadkari here on Thursday committed to prevent infiltration from Bangladesh by implementing state-of-the-art technology on the lines of Israel along the state's international border.
Releasing “Vision Document 2025” for Assam, Mr Gadkari said here on Wednesday that the move was very much feasible. “There are latest technologies available to check infiltration across the international border. Israel has done that. We will also do so to stop illegal entry to Assam,” he asserted.
Claiming that they have included only those issues, which are possible, he said that vision document was the roadmap of governance and development for the party if it comes to power in the state. While its election manifesto promises all round development in the state, the Vision Document gives the outline for achieving development goals in multiple sectors.
Clarifying that document would be a guideline for the party if it comes to the power in New Delhi, Mr Gadkari said, “Plenty of funds come from the Centre to Assam and the Northeast, but the development here is not matching. Poverty is still there, unemployment is increasing, while the law and order situation needs to be improved.”
Mr Gadkari said, “The document had a vision of the year 2025 for agriculture, infrastructure, industrial, rural, urban, transportation, mineral wealth, power, tribal welfare, tea industry development.”
