BJP row over district chiefs
Cracks surfaced in the BJP’s Rajasthan unit over nomination of district presidents in Dausa and Jaipur when a section of the party questioned such appointments and raised voice against it. Former president of the state BJP Omparkash Mathur expressed his displeasure on such nominations and termed that the state unit is in a poor condition.
State BJP president Arun Chaturvedi had appointed Ratan Tiwari as Dausa BJP president by replacing Jialal Banshiwal, while Shailandra Bhargva had already been nominated as Jaipur BJP president. Mr Mathur said the party should not dream of returning to power in easy way. Talking to mediapersons, he said there was lack of communication in top leadership in the state unit.
The core committee met last time in September, 2011. Mr Mathur said he wasn’t a part of the process of such decisions of nominating presidents in district units.
