BJP says Maya acting under Cong pressure
The Bharatiya Janata Party has said that UP chief minister Maya-wati denied permission to Yoga guru Baba Ramdev to continue his “satyagrah” in UP under pressure from the Congress. Talking to repor-ters here on Monday, UP BJP president Surya Pratap Shahi said, “On Sunday, Ms Mayawati condemned the crackdown on baba
Ramdev but hours later, she had a change of heart and prevented him from entering Muzaffarnagar. She directed officials to ensure that he was not allowed to continue his protest in UP. “
The state BJP chief said that the people of UP want to know why Ms Mayawati had a change of heart and under what circumstances she decided to deny permission to Baba Ramdev.
“By denying permission to Baba Ramdev to continue his ‘satyagrah’ in NCR, Ms Mayawati has actually bailed out the Congress from the crisis arising out of the police action on Baba,’’ Mr Shahi said.
The BJP state president said that with her action, Ms Mayawati had proved that she supported the Congress on black money and corruption.
He said that the chief minister had no option but to follow the dictates of the Congress since she herself is under investigation by the CBI and involved in series of scams and corruption cases.
