BJP to train MPs on daily affairs
The main Opposition BJP wants its MPs to sound logical and have all the facts of a subject to their command while speaking on subjects like climate change, WTO, internal security, defence, external affairs and economic affairs of the country, both in Parliament and at international forums.
For this purpose, the party has decided to conduct training sessions of its MPs, mostly young MPs, who would be apprised by their senior party colleagues over these subjects. The party has termed it as setting up of its “expert bank” on these subjects. While senior party leader and Lok Sabha member Ananth Kumar is the chairperson, Rajya Sabha member Najma Heptullah is the coordinator of this initiative. Some of the senior BJP leaders, who have expertise on subjects like defence and external affairs, will be taking sessions of party MPs. There will also be experts on these issues, outside party, who will be invited to apprise BJP members on these subjects.
The party has divided its MPs, from both House, who will participate in these sessions.
