BJP war against K'taka guv
Bengaluru: Piqued by repeated attacks by Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj, BJP today said it would soon launch a campaign seeking his removal and dared him to act against a list of 'the corrupt' that he had claimed to be possessing.
"After completion of this month's Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections in the state, the party will undertake a 'Hatao Governor' campaign seeking Bhardwaj's recall", BJP National Working Committee member Vamanachar told reporters here.
His comments came a day after Bhardwaj said he had a list of corrupt people, 'particularly the ministers', in the state and offered to share it with those interested.
"The Governor has crossed all his limits. He can order a probe including by the Lokayukta," Vamanachar said in reply and dismissed Bhardwaj's allegations against the government as "baseless".
He said the stir against Bhardwaj would be spearheaded by senior state leaders of BJP along with top central leaders, who would also meet President Pratibha Patil seeking his removal.
