BJP's focus on return to power at Centre
Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday said that the two-day national executive meeting here would focus on ensuring the return of the NDA at the centre.
"The party will discuss in-depth strategy to bring the NDA back in Delhi as an alternative to the UPA," Mr Naidu told reporters at the sidelines of the two-day national executive meeting which began here on Saturday.
The meeting will focus on removal of corruption, price rise, terrorism, Bangladeshi immigration problem in Assam, among other issues, he said.
"The issue of price rise will be raised in the Parliament to ensure that effective measures are taken to tackle it," he added.
Asked how the BJP would attract minorities, which plays a significant role in Assam polls, the former party president said, "we don't think in terms of minority and majority, we believe in inclusive politics and our endeavour will be to include all".
The party's leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj also expressed confidence that the BJP would win the upcoming assembly polls in Assam.
"We have won in Bihar and now we will do the same in Assam," she said.
