BJP's legal aid to Delhi collapse victims
New Delhi: Alleging that the owner of the building that collapsed in east Delhi has links with ruling Congress leaders, Delhi BJP today said it will provide free legal aid to the victims for fighting their cases in court.
Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta said a team of lawyers will be provided free of cost for the hearing of the cases related to the death of at least 70 people in the collapse which took place in Lalita Park last Monday.
"This is to ensure that the case will not weaken in the court and all the victims get justice," Gupta said.
The owner of the building Amritpal Singh had 'support' of some Congress leaders and police, he claimed.
"Since there is connivance between Congress leaders, local police and officers of several departments, efforts will be made to weaken the case in the court," Gupta alleged.
