Buffalo in court for theft case hearing
A buffalo spent quite some time in the court premises on Tuesday when a litigant brought the animal to a local court in Kota for hearing in a theft case, while the court ordered that the animal be present.
It asked cattle breeder Heerlala Gurjar to bring his buffalo for identification.
“I took my buffalo to the court as it was the court directive,” said Heeralal while speaking over the phone from Kota.
According to the prosecution, Heeralal had lodged an FIR on August 25, 2011 at Gumanpura police station in Kota saying that his buffalo has been stolen.
The police recovered the buffalo from Nawalraj Singh’s house on October 5, 2011. The police arrested him.
