Businessman, 40, shot dead in valley

A day after a Valley trader, associated with the Opposition PDP, was found murdered hours after he went missing while returning home from his jewellery shop in central district of Budgam, a 40-year-old business man was shot dead by unidentified men inside his house in southern Pulwama district on Tuesday.

The police blamed the latest killing on separatist militants and said that investigations into both incidents have been launched. Reports said that Aijaz Ahmad Shah, a businessman from Shubdani Newa village of Pubwama was targeted by gunmen who barged into his house at about 11.30 am on Tuesday. He was rushed to the district hospital.
