C’garh CM may rope in NaMo
With his image taking a severe beating following May 25 Darbha Naxal attack leading to killing of key Congress leaders of Chhattisgarh coupled with bribery charge slapped against him by a bank scam accused during his purported narco-test, chief minister Raman Singh has reportedly decided to rope in his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi to bail him out at this crucial juncture.
The twin issues seemed to have pressed panic button in the ruling BJP camp here with the Opposition Congress appearing hell bent on precipitating them further to make them major issues in the coming Assembly elections, scheduled to be held in the state by end of this year.
Apparently worried over sudden turn of events, Mr Singh is reportedly looking for Mr Modi to turn his saviour to ensure that his poll apple cart is not upset.
BJP sources told this newspaper that Mr Raman Singh was planning to invite Mr Modi to address a series of public meetings across the state in coming days to counter the ongoing campaign by Congress against him.
