Cabinet clears Judicial Accountability Bill, Whistleblowers' Bill and Citizens' Charter.
The Union Cabinet has cleared three critical anti-graft Bills - the Citizen's Charter Bill, the Judicial Accountability Bill and the Whistleblowers' protection Bill.
But a decision on the Food Security Bill was stopped after talks remained inconclusive on Tuesday and further discussions would be held to bring the allies on board, informed sources said.
The sources also said Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar raised the issue of high subsidy involved in implementing the Right to Food law, the pet project of the Sonia Gandhi-led National Advisory Council.
Earlier, the Congress core group met in the afternoon to discuss the Lokpal bill. The Prime Minister is also hosting a meeting of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) leaders at his residence where the approach to the Lokapl bill will be discussed.
