Can support Congress to keep BJP out: Mulayam
Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday indicated his party can support Congress in Uttar Pradesh after the Assembly polls if he sees the BJP coming to power to stop ‘communal’ forces.
Addressing an election rally here, Yadav said, "there is a wave in favour of SP, which is going to form the next government in the state...If I see BJP coming to power, our party can support Congress in the state to prevent communal forces".
He asked party workers to ensure that voters go to the booth to cast their votes.
He also asked them to propagate ideologies of the party and inform people about what SP could do for them, if voted to power.
In an obvious reference to the opposition attack on SP that hooliganism was on the rise in its regime, Yadav said that all the goonda elements and mafias would be brought to book. "My government will ensure that mafia and goondas go behind the bars", he said.
