CBI complains of threats, witnesses turning hostile

The CBI sought shifting of high profile accused in murder of Bhanwari Devi case from Jodhpur to some where else as the agency noted that witnesses receive threats and in turn become hostile.

The CBI on Tuesday made a submission in this regard before the high court in Jodhpur while the court asked the agency to file an affidavit. The court turned down the request made by the state government to dispose of habeas corpus petition filed by Bhanwari’s husband Amarchand.
The CBI contended that witnesses were intimidated and receiving threats.
