CBI uses UAV to search for Bhanwari’s body
The CBI, probing the Bhanwari Devi case, on Tuesday intensified its search to locate the body parts of the 36-year-old auxiliary nurse-cum-folk singer by using unmanned aerial vehicle in Jaloda village near Jodhpur.
According to sources, the agency officials decided to take aerial photographs of Jaloda village from the UAV following the revelations made by Umesha Ram, a suspected gang member, who allegedly disposed of Bhnawri’s body. The CBI has hired this UAV from a private organisation, sources said. The agency officials also conducted searches and questioned villagers of Jaloda on Tuesday.
“Questioning of Umesha Ram has provided vital clues to the agency. The agency will soon ascertain the identity of the persons who allegedly disposed off Bhanwari’s body after her murder”, sources said. The agency also took Umesha Ram to certain undisclosed locations near Jodhpur on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the CBI officials on Tuesday questioned Amarchand, husband of Bhanwari Devi, in the presence of Sahi Ram, prime suspect in the case. Amarchand was arrested by the CBI on December 8 for non-cooperation.
