The wife of policeman Abhay Yadav, Rajni Devi, who had been sitting outside Mr Nitish Kumar’s residence in Patna along with her three children and the relatives of the other three policemen for two days, was forcibly taken away to a hospital Thursday morning for treatment even though she claimed she was not ill. She was in a Patna hospital unaware of her husband’s killing by Maoists and was only told later about it.
Yadav’s body had not been found by police looking for it in Lakhiserai and Jamui by the time this report was filed. The Kajra hills in Lakhiserai, where the Maoists are believed to be camping, have been cordoned off to prevent their escape, said sources.
