Chandy meets Sonia Amid Solar scam row

In the backdrop of the Opposition LDF baying for his blood and some of is own party men insisting that he made way for some one else over his alleged role in the solar scam, Kerala Chief minister Oommen Chandy on Saturday called on Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi to explain his side of the story.

“I had a detailed discussion with Sonia Gandhi. I explained everything (to Gandhi) about the latest political developments in Kerala,” Mr Chandy told the media after the meeting.
He also said the questions of leadership change and much anticipated Cabinet reshuffle did not figure in the meeting. He said that such a process would come into play after detailed discussions with the general secretary in-charge of the state Mukul Wasnik. “There was no discussion on Cabinet reshuffle,” he said.
The beleaguered chief minister ruled out any talk of his resignation as demanded by his political rivals saying they are just part of the political conspiracy hatched by the CPI(M)-led LDF and that there was not even a shred of evidence against him.
