Charles gets 5-star ranks in Army, navy, RAF

Britain celebrated Queen Elizabeth II’s official birthday, her 86th, on Saturday with a Trooping the Colour parade at Whitehall, RAF flypast at Buckingham Palace and the birthday honours list. The Queen’s actual birthday is on April 21.

In an unconnected event, Prince Charles, who has seen a huge resurgence in public support, was promoted by his mother, the commander-in-chief of the British forces, to the highest ranks in all three military services.
