Chavan declares assets of `6.81 cr
Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan on Thursday filed his nomination papers for the byelection to the state Legislative Council seat on May 4.
In his affidavit filed before the returning officer, Mr Chavan has declared that he and his wife collectively own property worth `6.81 crores.
According to the affidavit, the movable property owned by the CM is of `4,18,17,779, while that of his wife, Ms Satvasheela, is worth `30,42,810.
Mr Chavan’s immovable property is worth `2,21,30,000, while his wife’s count is `8,25,000.
Mr Chavan’s movable assets include 4,14,298 shares in Applied Electro-Magnetics Pvt Ltd at a market value of `3.18 crores, and his wife holds 3,000 shares in the same company at `2,30,866.
