Chouhan govt like a business house: Diggy
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh has taken the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh government head on saying that instead of demonstrating its commitment to governance it is working more like a business house.
The senior Congress leader fired the salvo at the state BJP government in Jabalpur on Sunday. He said that the state chief minister claims that his government has signed MoUs committing investments to the tune of `3,25,000 crores. The state government has been organising global investors’ meets and road shows to attract investment. Despite all this, the impact on the investment front has been dismal, Mr Singh said adding that the Government seems to be more interested in acting like a trading house rather than ensuring good governance.
Stating that there was no end to corruption in MP, Mr Singh said that the ministers, bureaucrats and those in business were in close league in the state. This was demonstrated recently when crores of rupees were seized by the IT department from a senior officer’s residence, he said.
