CM’s notices to tv channel, daily

Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh has issued defamation notices of `1 crore each to a Hindi daily and a private television news channel here for carrying, what he claimed, baseless reports accusing him of playing a role in

allotment of mining releases to his kin in Madhya Pradesh, sources close to him said here on Wednesday.
The legal notices seeking replies from both the media houses within a week were on Tuesday sent through the chief minister’s personal lawyer, sources said.
