CM speech like an adult movie: Ravi
The speeches of the Chief Minister, Mr V.S. Achuthanandan, during election meetings had started resembling “adult movies,” ridiculed the Union minister for civil aviation, Mr Vayalar Ravi.
“VS is deviating focus from development issues and spreading tales
like the Congress leadership
had offered deputy chief-ministerial post to Mr P.K. Kunhalikutty,” said Mr Ravi. “His speech is like an adults-only-film, full
of non-sense and blatant lies.”
Talking to mediapersons here, the Union minister said the Chief Minister had nothing to say about the development programmes initiated by his government or about a vision for the future.
When asked about Mr Achuthanandan’s claim that the assurance of deputy chief minister post to Muslim League was given by the AICC president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, the minister said, “Sonia has not even came to Kerala. I don’t know whether the CM is privy to any secret phone tapping call records...”
On the helicopter controversy, Mr Ravi pointed out that Left leaders in West Bengal were lavishly using choppers.
Mr Ravi admitted that corruption has taken place in the 2-G spectrum allocation, Commonwealth Games and Adarsh flat allocation but added that the UPA government had taken action in all these cases.
“But take the case of the LDF,” he said. “They have nothing against a party secretary who is an accused in a graft case. Another CPM leader is facing allegations of sexual misconduct but they are trying to shield him. Now they are saying the party will probe the case and not the police.”
