Confusion on cause of crash

Was it a bomb blast which led to the derailment of the Gyaneshwari Express? Or were the 13 coaches of the ill-fated train derailed following the removal of fish plates and the cutting of a portion of railway tracks?

The real cause of the Gyaneshwari Express mishap remained clouded in mystery.
There was total confusion over the cause of derailment. Contradictory and conflicting versions of the cause were offered by different ministers and police personnel.
The accident took place between Sardiha and Khemasuli at 1.30 am after the ill-fated train had left Kharagpur.
Railway minister Mamata Banerjee reached the accident site quite early in the morning. Ms Banerjee said that the derailment happened due to a bomb blast which blew up a portion of the tracks.
