Cong hits out at ex-RSS chief

Ridiculing former RSS chief K.S. Sudarshan as an “archaeological creature in the Saffron camp”, the Congress on Thursday rejected his reported deregatory remarks on party president Sonia Gandhi with contempt and asked party men to stage protest against such comments with all the might they posses.

Claiming that nothing could be more “uncivilised” than the RSS leader’s remarks against the Congress president, AICC general secretary and chairman of the party’s media department Janardhan Dwivedi said, “There can be no bigger lies than these. If Congressmen get worked up after reading all this, they (RSS) will be responsible for it. Congress strongly condemns this. The reaction to it should be such that none can use such obnoxious and obscene language again.” Even as both the RSS and the BJP have publicly distanced themselves from the reported remarks, the ruling congress dared the Sangh Parivar to “disown” Mr Sudarshan.
While reading out the newspaper report during the regular party briefing here Mr Dwivedi said, “If someone gets agitated then who is responsible... everybody has a right to oppose such things... If Congressmen and people the country do something (untoward), they (RSS) will be responsible for it.” The AICC general secretary called Mr Sudarshan an “archaeological creature in the Sangh camp” and lamented that a person associated with an organisation “which boasts of culture and decency should stoop so low by using such derogatory language and make false charges”.
Refusing to comment on the Sangh Parivar’s move to distance itself from the remark, Mr Dwivedi, said, “Congress will judge the RSS and BJP more by their action than words. They have to decide whether they own or disown such a person.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
