Cong nod to 2 more for T-polls

The central leadership of the Congress Party has cleared two more names for the impending bypolls in the Telangana region. They are Mr V. Krishna Rao for Huzurabad and Mr T. Srinivas Goud for Siddipet. Now only two more names need to be cleared for two more constituencies, namely Korutla and Manchiryala.

It is believed they also will be cleared by the Congress high command by Tuesday. It may be recalled that the Andhra Pradesh state Congress president had said on Saturday that all the names would be cleared by the high command in a couple of days. On Sunday, 10 names were approved and two more were cleared on Monday evening. The Telangana bypolls that are scheduled for July 27 was dictated by the resignation of 12 MPs from the Telangana area.
Out of the 12, 10 were from the TRS of Mr K. Chandrashekar Rao, one each from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). These resignations were resorted to by a section of the MPs from Telangana to pressurise the Centre into carving a separate state of Telangana.
