Cong slams Modi on forces’ rehab

The Congress on Monday asked Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi to tell how many ex-servicemen in his state have been rehabilitated. Mr Modi had addressed a massive rally in Rewari on Sunday.
Dubbing the campaign of Mr Modi as a “drama” and a stageshow, Congress spokesperson Bhakt Charan Das targeted Mr Modi over his speech at a rally in Rewari, Haryana.
He asked as to how many ex-servicemen have been rehabilitated in Gujarat under Modi government.
“He (Modi) went among ex-servicemen, made tall claims, but how many ex-servicemen has he rehabilitated in his state? How many of them have been given five acres of land as per rules? ...He is not a national leader having national thinking,” he said.
Another AICC official, Capt. Praveen Davar, said ex-servicemen throughout the country are deeply shocked that Olympian Rajavardhan Singh Rathore has joined the BJP after taking VRS from the Army.
Obviously the saffron party, in a hurry to capture power, will be tempting many professionals to join its bandwagon promising them loaves and fishes. There will be many who will soon regret their decision.

Rahul rally: Congmen invite locals
age correspondent
Jaipur, Sept. 16

After Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi’s mammoth rally last week in Jaipur, now it is time for the Congress to galvanise its rank and intensify its campaign. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is going to address a mass rally on Tuesday in Baran, which falls under the BJP stronghold Hadauti in south east Rajasthan.
The Congress leaders are visiting villages and localities in nearby towns to invite the people for Mr Gandhi’s rally. The party workers are inviting people by offering rice grains as part of rituals for an auspicious event in Baran. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot and PCC chief Dr Chandarbhan visited Baran twice to take stock of the preparedness for the rally.
The Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi will also dedicate an irrigation project and a thermal power unit on Tuesday. It is the second time in the last one week when Mr Gandhi will be visiting Rajasthan to address a rally. Last week he was in the tribal heartland of Mewar.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
