Is Congress-DMK alliance collapsing?

The second round of CBI raids in the 2G scam, exactly a week after the first “searches” at the premises of A. Raja and his close associates, has rattled the ruling DMK here.
If last week’s action inspired heated debate here if the Congress had deliberately unleashed the CBI to gain advantage in seat-sharing talks for next year’s state elections, Wednesday’s raids left many wondering if the alliance itself was collapsing. Many in the state Congress feel that carrying on with the DMK could prove embarrassing in the Assembly elections.
