Congress MP K. Chiranjeevi has been asked by the party to be available between October 24 and 29, when the Union Cabinet reshuffle is expected to take place.

In all likelihood, Chiranjeevi will be inducted into the Cabinet in the reshuffle that is likely to take place on
October 28.

Sources said Chiranjeevi will be made minister of state with independent charge.

A couple of MPs from Telangana region are also to be included in order to strike a balance among the three regions.

The leadership will also take other factors into consideration before making its selections for the reshuffle.

Presently, there are three Cabinet ministers from the state and three ministers of state, all belonging to the coastal Andhra region.
