Congress suspends Jagan aide
Taking serious note of the outburst of PCC general secretary Ambat Rambabu against the Andhra chief minister K. Rosaiah, the party has suspended him for alleged anti-party activities. Mr Rambabu is a close aide of Jaganmohan Reddy who is now in the middle of his controversial “Odarpu Yatra.”
A statement from AICC in charge of Andhra Pradesh M. Veerappa Moily said that Mr Ambat Ramababu, PCC general secretary, has been suspended with “immediate effect for his anti-party activities and making anti-party statements”. Mr Rambabu was recently arraigned before the disciplinary committee to explain his outburst. Even though he was given extra time, till July-end, to explain his action, he was suspended from the party abruptly.
Political pundits are wondering if this is a warning to the rebellious MP Jaganmohan Reddy.
