‘Control room’ destroyed by Pak just after 26/11: Jundal
Key 26/11 handler Abu Jundal has told interrogators the Karachi “control room” was destroyed by sleuths of Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency weeks after the barbaric Mumbai attack. Jundal’s interrogation by the Delhi police and Intelligence Bureau has clearly shed light not only on the role of “state actors” in Pakistan during 26/11 but on the existence of Laskhar-e-Tayyaba training camps in PoK.
The interrogation report says ISI operative Maj. Sameer Ali was deeply involved in monitoring control room activities when the 10 terrorists stormed Mumbai while another ISI officer, Col. Hamza, handled financial and logistics support to Jundal ahead of his arrest in Saudi Arabia. The ISI wanted to give Jundal safe passage from Rawalpindi to Saudi Arabia, but the plan got unstuck as he came directly under the radar of Indian agencies after reaching Saudi Arabia in April 2011.
