Cop given notice for sending objectionable SMSes to a girl

A police official was on Thursday issued a show cause notice for allegedly sending objectionable text messages to a girl and threatening to get her arrested on false charges.

In a written complaint to Meerut's Senior Superintendent of Police, the girl had accused Dilip Kumar Sharma, police official at Civil Lines police station here, to have sent her objectionable SMSes on February 23, official source said.

Sharma was given a 15-day notice to give reason for his act of indiscipline after the charge was found to be true, they said.
