Cop’s son buries girl’s body in house
In a shocking incident, a head constable’s son killed his ladylove, a 21-year-old girl, and buried the body outside his house at Usilampatti, near Madurai, in a bid to cover up the crime.
Police said Babu, 21, son of a head constable, attached to the Melur police station, was in love with Kasturi, a sales girl.
After inviting her to his house, he killed her and buried the body outside his house as she was pestering him to marry her.
He would have probably killed the girl 10 days ago and police arrested him after he confessed to the crime to the village administrative officer, Usilampatti, police said.
Police initially registered a missing case on complaint given by the girl’s parents and the case took a curious turn, when they stumbled upon a receipt of a pawnshop.
Police said Kasturi had pledged her jewels and the receipt had Babu’s name. Pursuing this fresh lead, police found the involvement of the boy, studying second year BA in a local college in the ghastly crime.
Kasturi, a sales girl at a shop in Usilampatti, was reported missing at the Koodal police station few days back.
The police said the postmortem was done at Usilampatti and the body was handed over to the parents in Kumaram, near Madurai.
