Cops: Peeping tom killed by girl’s father
A youth was allegedly killed for peeping into the bathroom of a girl who lives next door in Kottarakkara, Kerala.
Subiraj, son of Sudhevan of Chengamanadu area, was found dead after getting electric shock from the fence that separated the families’ adjoining plots of land.
The body was found in the compound of the girl’s family on Friday. Police on Monday confirmed it as a case of murder. Probe showed it was a well-planned operation by girl’s father, Gopinathan of Chengamanadu, and his son-in-law Rame-san, a Pathanapuram native, cops said.
Warnings had been given in the past to the youth by Gopinathan. Being a retired BSF jawan, Remesan proposed erection of an iron fence and its electrification. On the fourth day after the fence was electrified, Subiraj unknowingly got trapped in it and met with his death, police said.
Kottarakara police arrested Gopinathan and Ramesan and produced them in the local court, leading to their remand in custody.
