Crime branch to probe missing files on Adarsh

The crime branch of the Mumbai police was ordered Sunday to take over the investigation into the theft of crucial documents on the Adarsh Housing Society from the state urban development department.

The missing papers are believed to contain file notings by top officials. A case was registered Saturday at a police station here. The urban development department has also started an internal inquiry.
