Crisis in BJP, Advani likely to skip rally in Mumbai
On the second day of the national executive meeting BJP patriarch L.K. Advani is likely to skip key BJP rally in Mumbai on Friday citing prior engagements as the reason for not attending the rally, said reports.
Apart from Mr Advani, there are also reports that former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa who reached Mumbai on Friday to attend the party meet will too skip the BJP rally.
Advani has been a part of political strategy for last 60 years of BJP and never skipped a meeting so his absence is bound to raise questions, especially at a time when the party is planning and preparing for the Assembly elections in Gujarat and general elections in 2014. But BJP is trying to play down the absence of Advani.
