Crude bomb blasts on the outskirts of Kolkata
Three crude bombs exploded in quick succession at different places on the outskirts of Kolkata on Monday, seriously injuring three persons. One of the bombs went off at Dakshinpara in North 24 Parganas, injuring two children who were on a rickshaw, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Md Akhtar said. Another crude bomb exploded in an under-construction multi-storeyed building at Barwaritala area injuring another person, Akhtar said. The third bomb went off at Purbanchal area, but none was hurt, he said. The bomb squad rushed to the areas with sniffer dogs. The injured were admitted to hospitals.
