CWG probe: I-T raids on Wizcraft

The income-tax department carried out search and seizure at the offices of leading event management company Wizcraft International in context of the Commonwealth Games (CWG) probe.

“We can confirm that income-tax department carried out at search and seizure operations at the offices of Wizcraft International,” said a senior income-tax department official. However, the official refused to divulge further details.
Wizcraft International was involved in the inaugural and closing ceremonies of the CWG. Earlier, the I-T department had carried out raids on the premises of the contractors involved in the CWG.
Meanwhile, agency reports from Mumbai said that searches began at the company office in the afternoon. Some of the clients that Wizcraft caters, as per its website, are Indian Olympic Association, Indian Army International Film Festival Society of India and the famous Michael Jackson history tour to India among many others.
The raids come days ahead of the Budget Session.
