Cylinder blast at Ganesh pandal in Ahmedabad

One person was were killed and three others were injured in an LPG cylinder blast at a Ganesh pandal in Isanpur area here Monday evening, police said.

"Short circuit in an electric cable that was fit inside the model of a 'fire spewing Dragon' inside the pandal led to the cylinder blast," fire officer said.

One person died on the spot while other three injured were admitted to LG Hospital here, poice said. Among them, one of them was in a critical condition.

The Ganesh pandal had been put up by local residents of Isanpur area.
