David Suchet to retire as hercule Poirot
After playing Agatha Christie’s detective Hercules Poirot for a quarter of a century, actor David Suchet is planning to retire.
Suchet has confirmed that the next series of Christie’s hero detective will be his last.
The 65-year-old actor revealed that the show’s grand finale, which will be screened in 2013, will conclude with Poirot, the Belgian detective, dying at the end, the Daily Mail reported.
“The moustache is going to be hung up, I am afraid, that’s it. I’ll be not only saying good bye to, but having to bury, one of my very dearest best friends who has changed the course of my life,” he said recently.
The actor has starred in 70 episodes of the ITV drama.

80% women like men with no chest hair
New York: Men, you might want to rush to the nearest waxing parlour after reading this!
According to a new research, at least 80 per cent women prefer a man with a smooth chest.
Researchers from Trnava University in Slovakia asked women to rate the attractiveness of men with hairy and hairless chests — and found only 20 per cent of women preferred the more ‘hairy’ version while 80 per cent of women prefer relatively hair-free men.
Evolutionary biologists have been puzzled by the fact that humans are not nearly as furry as our closest primate relatives.
One common theory for our relative hairlessness suggests that women long ago adopted a preference for less hairy guys as a way to avoid lice.
But this research suggests that this so-called “ectoparasite avoidance hypothesis” may not expl-ain the evolution of human hairlessness. — PTI
