Delhi-bound GoAir aircraft returns after bomb scare
A Delhi-bound GoAir flight returned to an isolated bay in Mumbai on Saturday night after the pilot informed the ATC of a bomb scare, an airport spokesperson said.
All the passengers have been de-boarded, inspection of cargo in the plane is on and security agencies are carrying out checks, he said.
Initial reports said the GoAir flight 343 was set for take-off when the pilot received information from the Air Traffic Control about the presence of a possible bomb in the aircraft. Cancelling the flight, the pilot was was asked to come back.
The security check and chaos that followed is expected to delay the flight by around four hours, the Air Traffic Control has informed.
Passengers are also being frisked, according to latest reports.
