Delhi CM asks city BJP chief to apologise
Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit said Sunday she had sent a legal notice to city BJP chief Vijendra Gupta for defamation for having alleged that BJP hoardings had been removed at the behest of the chief minister. The notice claimed he “conspired to malign her reputation and image”, and demanded an “unconditional public apology” in three days.
Mr Gupta shot off letters to the lieutenant-governor and the Delhi police commissioner demanding registration of an FIR against the culprits behind the “illegal” removal of hoardings. In his letters, he said the hoardings were removed at Ms Dikshit’s behest.
