Did Madhuri use Canada mission staff to pass data?
Indian diplomat Madhuri Gupta, arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan, was reportedly in constant touch with two officials posted at the Indian high commission in Canada. It is suspected she was using them to pass on critical information to her handlers in other countries.
Intelligence sources say reports that she passed on information to Babbar Khalsa International through these officials in Canada are being investigated. Two high commission officials in touch with Babbar Khalsa activists are under the scanner, the sources said, and they are likely to be questioned soon. Ms Gupta is believed to have kept in touch with them via email. Some of her email accounts have been identified. These, and her computer hard disk, have been sent for forensic analysis in Hyderabad.
