Diggy to Anna: protest U.P. graft

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said on Saturday said that he would extend full support to social activist Anna Hazare if the latter initiates a protest against corruption in Uttar Pradesh.

“If Anna Hazare wants to hold a demonstration in any part of the country against corruption, UP is the most suitable place. We will extend full support to him and even join in his fast or demonstration. I will also join in,” the Congress leader said.
Reacting to the recent campaign by team Anna against the Congress in the Hisar bypoll, Mr Digvijay Singh said, “They must wait for the approval of the Lokpal Bill in parliament. He has been given assurance by almost all parliamentarians that his major demands would be included in the bill. Anna should respect and trust Parliament.”
