Diggy demands deeper probe into Joshi killing
New Delhi, Dec. 18: Undaunted by the controversy over his Karkare remarks, the AICC general secretary, Mr Digvijay Singh, on Saturday launched a frontal attack on the RSS and the BJP by claiming that there was need for a “deeper” probe into the killing of RSS activist Sunil Joshi, who was linked to the Ajmer dargah blast of 2007. He also alleged that Sunil Joshi was murdered by his colleagues as he knew “too much” about the outfit’s activities.
Accusing the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh of closing the Joshi murder case, Mr Singh said, “The case was later investigated by the NIA and the Rajasthan ATS.” He claimed all the persons arrested in connection with the murder case had, at some point or the other, worked for the RSS. “All these are swayamsevaks of the RSS,” he said.
Mr Singh, who has been time and again raising the issue of Hindu terror, said, “When they (RSS) cannot forgive their own pracharak, then what will they do to others?”
The Congress leader said Joshi, who was murdered in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district in December 2007, was linked with the Ajmer bomb blast, Samjhauta Express blast and also in the murder of a Congress leader in the state.
Mr Singh alleged that Joshi used to train RSS activists in bomb-making. “Perhaps he knew too much,” he said.
